The Cavaliers have waived guard Killian Hayes, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Hayes is expected to join the Cleveland Charge, the team’s G League affiliate, as he continues to search for another NBA opportunity.
The former No. 7 overall pick played six games for the Nets last season, averaging 9.0 points and 5.2 assists in 27 minutes per outing.
Still just 23, Hayes remains a talented playmaker who’s looking to rebuild his stock — and the Cavs’ G League system might give him that chance.
