The Heat have held internal discussions about a possible pursuit of Grizzlies guard Ja Morant, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Morant has missed 11 of Memphis’ last 12 games with a calf injury, but Miami continues to monitor the situation as it evaluates potential backcourt upgrades.
Fischer writes that the Heat have quietly indicated a willingness to include Andrew Wiggins in the right deal, and the absence of a contract extension for Tyler Herro has only fueled league-wide belief that Miami is open to reshaping its core.
This all tracks with the Heat’s broader approach. As we relayed here, Miami has also done background work on a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo pursuit if Milwaukee ever opens the door.
Morant isn’t available yet, but the Heat are clearly preparing for opportunities.
